Christchurch is known for the gardens after it is called the Garden City. Fortunately plants, grass and trees don’t suffer from an earthquakes destruction as much as your average building, which is why many locals find visiting the gardens reassuring. It was a beautiful day when ventured out and were able to see the botanical gardens.
This is the view with the Christchurh Hospital behind you and the Canterbury Museum (which is FREE FREE FREE) in front of you!
Beautiful old tree.
Inside the botanical gardens – TWO FLOORS!
I have been known to enjoy some flowering plants now and again.
Then we saw this lovely building, all damp and dewy inside, but the ferns love it!
We moved into our apartment on the university campus and love it!
Nice and sunny!
We also have our own little yard for barbecues and gardens. Theres also a few lemon trees in the backyard.
This is the courtyard outside our little yard. Perfect area for frisbee or skateboarding.
Thanks for reading xoxo Pat & Cori
In LA we tried to enjoy the outdoors before getting in a plane for 13 hours. We headed to Cabrillo Beach which was close to where we were staying in Palos Verdes.
The next day we headed to LAX for our 9:45pm flight to NEW ZEALAND! – of course we stopped at In-and-out Burger for a last minute treat 😉

Auckland here we come!
The first day we forgot our camera! Sad…but it was a beautiful day. The following day we used our new cellphone in order to buy a car! The dealership we wanted to go to was far away so we rented a scooter (I didn’t drive) and off we went!
This is our new little baby! A 1992 Honda Civic that shall henceforth be called “The Patty Wagon!” Because Pat picked it out.
We parked the car and went for a ride around Auckland!
We got some seafood for dinner and will enjoy the sunset over Auckland.
