We like to explore suburbs around Christchurch- Sumner was one of the first places we explored. After passing the homes that were hanging off cliffs and the piles of rock and dirty from landslides, we finally got to a cute beach town! 
A few weekends ago we drove about 1.5 hours to Akaroa a cute town founded by french settlers. Beautiful!
We had a lunch of fish and chips, walked to the light house that matched my dress (thanks krista!) and tried to look for dolphins…no such luck on the latter venture however we have every intention of returning and possibly taking a boat tour to find them!
